For the Trail, One the Trail
Two Days of Workshops - Build your Agenda
Paradise Farm Camp; Downingtown, PA  

The Pennsylvania Land Trust Association is partnering with trail professionals and Penn Trails to offer this two-day training event for those engaged on trail management, maintenance, and construction. Participants may choose to attend two full days, one full day or a half day depending on their particular interests. This training will offer hands-on training as well as classroom instruction and will be eligible for PRPS Recreation Professionals and Landscape Architect CEUs. 

Workshop Options:

Workshop 1A: Contemporary Trails Management and Maintenance Fundamentals (Friday half-day)
Workshop 1B: Trail 101: Trail Bed & Tread (Friday half-day)
Workshop 2: Building with Stone (Friday & Saturday, 2-day)
Workshop 3A: Introduction to Trail Inventory & Assessment (Saturday half-day)
Workshop 3B: Introduction to GIS and GPS for Trail Management (Saturday half-day)

2017 PA Greenways and Trails Summit
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel; Reading, PA

General Information:
• 2 ½ day educational and networking event that occurs every two years focused on the latest and most essential information regarding greenways and trails in PA
• Hosted by the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society (PRPS), Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and a local host committee consisting of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area and Berks Nature and the Greater Reading Trails Partnership.
• Will consist of approximately 30 breakout sessions, 5 mobile workshops, 2 Keynote presentations, 3 panel presentations and an exhibit area
• Attracts local planning and economic development professionals, trail organizations, consultants, builders, conservancies, heritage groups, outfitters, advocates, park and recreation professionals, motorized and non-motorized trail enthusiasts, and local and state government.
