High Trail Bridge – Feasibility, Engineering, Design

The High Trail Bridge, owned by SEPTA, spans the Brandywine Creek in Chadds Ford Village south of Route 1 and next to the Brandywine River Museum of Art. The vision is to re-purpose the unused rail corridor and bridge as a multi-use trail that is open to the public. The scope of this project includes:

  • Structural inspection of the bridge
  • Construction drawings for bridge adaptive reuse
  • Construction drawings for a trail behind the Brandywine River Museum of Art
  • Concept for a pedestrian connection between the High Trail and the Millstone Cafe
  • Concept for bridge across south creek road
