On Location: Artists at Brandywine
Continuing the rich tradition of working outdoors in the Brandywine Valley landscape, a selection of artists juried by the Philadelphia Water Color Society will spend three days painting en plein air at the Brandywine River Museum of Art and its historic properties. Visitors are invited to watch and meet artists at work during their museum visit and on select tours of the N. C. Wyeth House & Studio and the Andrew Wyeth Studio. In case of inclement weather, artists will set up in protected areas (such as porches) for viewing.
To purchase historic property tour tickets, choose the studio below and choose a date and time. Artists will be available on June 1, 2, and 3, during the 10:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 12:45 p.m. tours.
Tickets also may be purchased by calling Visitor Services at 610-388-8326.
Work created during the event will be available for purchase at the Chadds Ford Historical Society, beginning with a reception on Friday, June 8, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and continuing through July 8. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Brandywine River Museum of Art.
