Celebrate Art and Nature

Connect the natural and artistic worlds in honor of the Brandywine Conservancy’s 50th Anniversary. Explore native flora and fauna while stretching – and sketching – in the Museum and on the campus and River Trail with artists and Conservancy staff. Dynamic performances by singer-songwriter Dana Lyons will highlight important conservation projects.


PNC Arts Alive First Sundays for Families at the Museum presents free, hands-on workshops with creative art activities and performances for visitors of all ages.


Program Schedule

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Creative activities with an art and nature theme, led by teaching artists and Museum and Conservancy staff, including butterfly and pollinator crafts, watershed discovery, and drawing and painting nature

11:30 a.m. 
A musical performance by singer songwriter Dana Lyons designed especially for families with younger children

12 noon 
Beginner bird walk with naturalist Kevin Fryberger 

12:30 p.m.
A musical performance by singer songwriter Dana Lyons designed for all ages that will highlight both local and national conservation projects

1 p.m.
