For as long as piracy has existed we have had a cultural fascination with pirates. Legends have grown up around famous buccaneers (both real and fictional) and their daring, romantic lives have been the subject of countless books, stories, movies and songs. Rick Spencer presents a family-oriented program of seafaring songs that relate to pirates and the great days of sail. A staff musician at Mystic Seaport for 20 years, Spencer is recognized as an authority on the history of traditional sea music and chanteys.
