Lose the Lawn

DCNR's Southwest Watershed Forestry Specialist, Stephanie Jellison, will discuss approaches to converting your lawn from mowed grass to an oasis of native species.

Learn how to get rid of the grass and start growing something more beneficial for our native wildlife and pollinators. We will discuss establishing meadows, incorporating native perennials in traditional landscaping, and reforesting areas with native trees and shrubs.
