Brandywine Trail

Brandywine trail
The Vision for the Brandywine Trail is a permanently-protected natural surface public hiking trail that connects the Brandywine Creek State Park in Delaware with the Horse Shoe Trail in Pennsylvania. The current focus is on sections of the trail in Chadds Ford, Pennsbury, Pocopson, and East Bradford Townships. Key elements of this project:

  • Protect the trail as a cultural/historic resource
  • Re-align the trail along the banks of the Brandywine to the greatest extent feasible
  • Retain the character as a natural surface trail for hikers
  • Provide for public access
