Join us for Part II of our look into the Walter & Leonore Annenberg Research Center!
In this members-only, virtual event, Curatorial Assistant, Carol Ellis looks at the artist’s series of paintings of Maine lobstermen, a theme that had occupied him over fifteen years. She traces his experimentation over time in rendering lobstermen in various stylistic techniques and moods, culminating with his use of the egg tempera medium and first exhibition of these works in 1939.
