REPORTS TO: Security Manager

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Primary Function:
Provide safe and reliable transportation using an 8-passenger van for offsite seasonal tour locations as needed. This role also supports the security and operational needs of the offsite facility by performing routine safety checks, monitoring activity, and assisting staff and guests.

Secondary Function:
Serve as a backup shuttle driver for the studios.

Tertiary Function (Security):
Perform routine security procedures and other duties at the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art, including responding to emergencies and addressing public safety concerns.

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: In addition to maintaining a good rapport and collaboration with tour staff, visitor services, security personnel, and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation and guest safety.  Interact with visitors and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:    

1. Transport visitors and staff from Museum to Offsite location according to a scheduled route
2. Safely operate company van in compliance with Brandywine policies and adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
3. Protects the Conservancy & Museum against loss or damage to all assets.
4. Provides a safe environment for staff and visitors on Conservancy & Museum of Art properties.
5. Follows all security procedures, as assigned.
6. Provides emergency services as required by circumstances or by procedures.
7. Responsible for wearing the uniform as specified by the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Must have a valid driver’s license.
2. Ability to operate a non-commercial passenger van (8 total passengers including driver).
3. Ability to interact in a professional manner with public and other employees regarding issues of safety, security, maintenance, deliveries, etc.
4. Ability to perform first aid, and AED/CPR, training provided.
5. Ability to work all assigned shifts, including holidays, weekends, special evening events and emergency situations as needed.
6. Ability to stand for at least three hours at a time.
7. Ability to climb four flights of stairs.
8. Ability to use a fire extinguisher.
9. Ability to work independently at times
10. Available and reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
11. Ability to undergo a background investigation with no adverse record.
12. Ability to operate security equipment including basic computer systems.
13. Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
