Join us for a lively afternoon with Wyeth Foundation Curator and Director of the Andrew & Betsy Wyeth Study Center, Dr. William L. Coleman, discussing his latest publication, Andrew Wyeth: The Masterworks.
Celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Andrew Wyeth (1917–2009), this comprehensive volume brings together one hundred masterworks created over more than seven decades. From early childhood drawings and radiant watercolors to his masterful temperas for which he is best known, Wyeth’s paintings are deeply rooted in the landscapes of Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and mid-coast Maine. This book is a landmark, authoritative survey of this beloved American artist, featuring his most iconic landscapes, portraits, and nudes that reveal the depth, intimacy, and genius of one of the nation’s greatest painters.
Following the talk, the author will be available to sign copies of the book which can be purchased in the Brandywine Gift Shop.
