Creative Escape: Alebrijes with Casa Guanajuato

Come to the Brandywine River Museum of Art to unwind, mingle and make art!

Designed for adults who want to awaken their inner artists, this program will feature a hands-on opportunity to paint alebrijes—colorful, fantastical animal sculptures—with artists from Casa Guanajuato Kennett Square, a local organization dedicated to promoting Latin American art and culture. Participants will learn about the history of this beautiful art form and will receive tips for creating dynamic, colorful patterns on a small, pre-made animal form. No experience necessary.   

The museum will open at 5:30 p.m. with the workshop beginning at 6 p.m. Cost includes art materials and light refreshments. BYOB!
