An Evening with Peter Ralston and Philip Conkling

Join us for an enlightening evening of conversation with photographer Peter Ralston and conservationist Philip Conkling, touching on Betsy Wyeth’s design of her properties.

As a longtime friend of the Wyeth family, Peter Ralston photographed Andrew, Betsy, and Jamie Wyeth in both their Pennsylvania and Maine residences. His work has been reproduced in many books and magazines, featured repeatedly on network television and has been exhibited in galleries, collections and museums throughout the United States and abroad. In 1983, he and Philip Conkling, a writer, editor, and environmental leader, founded the Island Institute non-profit to help preserve islands and coastal Maine.

After the talk there will be a light wine & cheese reception on the museum’s third floor, along with opportunity to view the Andrew Wyeth gallery, the American Illustration gallery, and By Design: The Worlds of Betsy James Wyeth.
