First Free Sundays for Families

Enjoy free, all-day admission to the Brandywine Museum of Art! In addition to free admission, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., families are invited to join in creative art activities* led by teaching artists.

At 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., enjoy high-energy, interactive African and African-American stories in a program of “Folktale Fun” presented by master storyteller TAHIRA. A First Sunday favorite with listeners of all ages, TAHIRA shares ancient wisdom, original stories, and songs using call ‘n response and humor to convey powerful life lessons. 

TAHIRA is a 2023 Delaware Division of the Arts Master Fellow and winner of the 2021 New Jersey Governor’s Award for Distinguished Service in Arts Education.

First Free Sundays for Families Will also be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

*Pre-registration is requested for art activities. Register here.
Pre-register and arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to participate. No registration is required for admission to Museum galleries.
