Painter’s Folly Plein Air Evening

Painter’s Folly Plein Air Evening

Get special access to Painter’s Folly, a Chadds Ford Township historic property, where Howard Pyle once lived and taught N. C. Wyeth along with other students at the Brandywine School of Art. Despite its artistic legacy, this 1857 Italianate style home gets its name from the original builder and owner, Samuel Painter.

Artists working in all media are invited to explore the property where they can sketch or paint the iconic setting. One of Chadds Ford Township’s knowledgeable staff will be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide insight into the historic house.

Participants will meet at Painter’s Folly in Chadds Ford, PA; directions will be provided upon registration. A restroom is available at the site. Participants are responsible for providing all art materials.
