Wyeth Conversations: Wanda M. Corn

Wyeth Conversations: Wanda M. Corn

Dr. Wanda M. Corn has had a journey with Andrew and Betsy Wyeth like few others. From her 1973 exhibition The Art of Andrew Wyeth at San Francisco’s De Young Museum and her 1974 doctoral dissertation focused on the artist, through countless scholarly books, exhibitions, and more including her essay for the 2014 book Rethinking Andrew Wyeth, to her continuing contributions to the board of the Wyeth Foundation for American Art, Professor Corn has developed rare insight into this essential story in the history of American art.

In the first installment of a recurring series of lively and engaging Wyeth Conversations with the Brandywine’s Wyeth Foundation Curator, Dr. William L. Coleman, Professor Corn will share her unique perspective on Andrew Wyeth’s work and life. Questions from attendees will be welcomed in this event that will be archived as a document of living history.  Dr. Corn is the Robert and Ruth Halperin Professor Emerita of Art History at Stanford University.
