Drawing and Painting with Karl J. Kuerner

Immerse yourself in Kuerner Farm, a source of inspiration for Andrew Wyeth for over 70 years, and a featured property on the National Register of Historic Places, with an art class led by Karl J. Kuerner. As the grandson of two of Andrew Wyeth’s best-known subjects and a student of Carolyn Wyeth, Karl’s personal experiences with the farm provide special insight into the property and its rich history.

T'ai Chi Chih in the Courtyard

T'ai Chi Chih is a mindful, moving meditation and a wonderful way to center and balance oneself. April Leffler will lead attendees in the Museum courtyard for 19 slow moving, meditative movements. No special clothing or equipment is required.

Yoga on the Brandywine

Join us at the Museum for an inclusive and beginner-friendly yoga class designed for practitioners of all levels to explore the transformative benefits of yoga in just one hour. The class will be held indoors in the Museum's Waterview Room, which features floor-to-ceiling window views of the Brandywine Creek.

Free First Sunday at Brandywine

The Museum will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with free admission to the galleries including the featured exhibitions, "This Earthen Door: Nature as Muse & Material" and "Andrew Wyeth at Kuerner Farm: The Eye of the Earth."

Children's Read-Aloud Tour

Join Miss Liesl for a very special Back-to-School Read-Aloud! Young children and their grown-ups will listen to We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Ryan T. Higgins and interact with artwork in the Museum. The program will also include a creative craft to make and take.

Plein Air Day at Kuerner Farm

Get special access to Kuerner Farm, a National Historic Landmark, where Andrew Wyeth found intriguing subjects for hundreds of tempera paintings, watercolors, and drawings for more than 70 years. Artists working in all media are invited to explore the property where they can sketch, paint, or photograph the iconic setting. One of Brandywine's knowledgeable interpreters will be available throughout the event to answer questions and provide insight into Wyeth's creative process.
