In addition to the presentation, the Conservancy will solicit comments and feedback from the community to aid the development of the early phase of the master plan. Located in the heart of the historic Brandywine Battlefield, the 113-acre tract of land known as Birmingham Hill Preserve was recently purchased by the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art with generous funding from public and private partners. This property is where some of the fiercest fighting occurred during the historic Battle of Brandywine. Work for the Birmingham Hill Preserve Master Plan began in July 2019 and is likely to be completed by September 2020. Once finished, the Birmingham Hill Preserve will be open as a public recreational resource to honor the history of the Battle of Brandywine.
