30th Annual Brandywine River Clean Up

Each year, the Annual Brandywine River Cleanup helps to ensure cleaner water for communities that rely on the Brandywine as a source for their drinking water, a healthier habitat for wildlife, and a safer environment for recreational activities. Since the event's inception, volunteers have removed more than 30 tons of trash from the banks of the Brandywine between Lenape and the Delaware state line.
Please join us for our 30th year as we return to the banks of the Brandywine and its surrounding areas on Saturday, April 22, 2023!

This year, volunteers have the option to join us in person on April 22nd, or pick up a free cleanup kit at the Brandywine Museum of Art the week of Earth Day (April 16-22) and use it to clean up their own communities! In-person volunteers will be meeting in the courtyard of the Brandywine Museum of Art. All volunteers must sign a waiver to participate. Participants under 18 years old must have a wavier signed by a parent or guardian. Download a printed waiver form here. Waivers will also be made available at volunteer check-in.
