Bud & Bloom Time is Changing: What does it mean and how can you help? [Laughlintown, PA]

Bud & Bloom Time is Changing: What does it mean and how can you help? [Laughlintown, PA]

Join Wendy Love, a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist and USA-National Phenology Network Local Phenology Leader, at Brandywine's Penguin Court Preserve for a lesson in phenology—the study of how plant growth and animal migrations are affected by seasonal and climatic changes—and gain an understanding of why observations and reporting are important to help scientists comprehend changes in natural cycles.

Wendy will share how you can observe and record phenological phases at your home and, if you would like, share the results with the scientific community.  We’ll discuss what to look for in early to mid-spring and then take a less than mile walk around Penguin Court to make observations and look for signs of spring!

PLEASE NOTE: Penguin Court Preserve is located in Western Pennsylvania. The address is 104 California Ave, Laughlintown, PA. Directions and access instructions will be provided up registration.
