Halloween-Inspired Plein Air Day at Miller Farm
Join us to celebrate the fall season while blending art and sustainable agriculture during a Halloween-inspired plein air day at Miller Farm. Located in Downingtown, PA, this 262-acre farm was once used to raise cattle and horses in rolling pastures. It is now preserved in perpetuity and leased in partnership with the Brandywine Conservancy by organic farmers Trey & Deirdre Flemming of Two Gander Farm, a USDA Certified Organic CSA and market farm.
Trey and Deirdre have been growing 20 acres of high-quality vegetables, herbs, and flowers for over 10 years at this location. Come enjoy a day at the farm, rich with a selection of historic and vegetative features to paint, sketch, photograph, or otherwise capture in your medium of choice.
Participants will meet at Miller Farm in Downingtown, PA; directions will be provided upon registration. A porta-potty and handwashing station are available at the site. Participants are responsible for providing all art materials. Spaces are limited. This event is intended for artists to explore the farm as a place of inspiration. Model and product-based photo shoots are not permitted during this event. For more information, contact Julia Steiner at (610) 388-8354 or [email protected].
