Penguin Court, the Westmoreland Pollinator Partners, and Discover Westmoreland are hosting the second Monarch Waystation Reunion on July 22, 2026 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the J. Roy Houston Conservation Center located at 218 Donohoe Road in Greensburg, PA.
Geared towards people with Monarch Waystations, but open to those who wish to learn more, this event is an opportunity for camaraderie and education. Plus, those participating in the 250 New Monarch Waystations in America's Laurel Highlands project will be able to pick up their certificate and sign.
Andrea Kautz, Powdermill Nature Reserve's Entomologist and Lab Manager, will share a presentation titled, How Can I Help? Using research-driven methods to support monarch populations while Pam Curtain, a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist and iNaturalist Ambassador, will introduce guests to the iNaturalist platform and how it may be used to document biodiversity, including monarch butterflies in all of their life stages.
