Penguin Court Book Club: "Bringing Butterflies Home" [Laughlintown, PA]

Penguin Court's Book Club will convene on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Elizabeth White Olsen's Bringing Butterflies Home: Gardening with Native Plants to Heal Our Yards and Ourselves.

Butterflies are magical and transformative!  As a landscape designer, Elizabeth White Olsen will inspire and guide you as you seek to attract them to your yard or porch, which is a great way to begin or further enhance your connection to nature.

This book nicely aligns with the Westmoreland Pollinator Partners' initiative to certify 250 new Monarch Waystations in the Laurel Highlands as a way to honor the nation's 250th anniversary.  Details about this project will be shared, and you'll have a chance to peruse the native plant garden outside of the conservatory.

Please bring a camp chair, as we might meet outdoors if the weather cooperates!
