Tree ID Workshop at Penguin Court [Laughlintown, PA]

Mary Jane Busch, a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, has been modifying a tree identification key to improve its accuracy.  Help us field test the new key during this tree identification workshop at Penguin Court in Laughlintown and learn more about how to use a key and determine the tree species around you!

Please bring a camp chair, pencil, and notepad for yourself for the first part of the workshop and then be prepared to walk about 1–1.5 miles on uneven ground outdoors. Dress for the weather, as we'll be outside the whole time, unless we need to seek refuge in the conservatory in the event of a thunderstorm. Bring water and snacks for yourself, too!

PLEASE NOTE: Penguin Court Preserve is located in Western Pennsylvania. The address is 104 California Ave, Laughlintown, PA. Directions and access instructions will be provided up registration.

If you need to cancel, please do so by 9 a.m. on July 12 for a refund (if you made a donation) and so we may offer your spot to someone else. To join our waiting list, please email Melissa at [email protected] with your name, cell phone number, and number of people in your party.
