Virtual Event: How Exotic Shrub Berries Alter Birds' Plumage

In the third installment of Penguin Court's "The Winged World Around Us" virtual series, join us for an intriguing and insightful presentation by Jocelyn Hudon, Ph.D., who is the Curator of Ornithology at the Royal Alberta Museum in Canada on how pigments in the berries of exotic shrubs, like Morrow's Honeysuckle, are altering the look of colorful birds in North America.  Fun fact: orange-tipped tail feathers of cedar waxwings at Powdermill Nature Preserve, which is near Brandywine's Penguin Court, initially spurred this research!

This is a "Pay What You Wish" presentation with donations benefiting Penguin Court as well as the Klamath Bird Observatory, which is important to Dr. Hudon. Thank you for considering a donation.
