Wednesday Workshop: Monarchs!

Monarch butterflies are a source of fascination for many, partly due to their brilliant color and large size, but also because of their ability to migrate between Mexico and North America.
Join Jean Keene, Keystone State Park’s Naturalist, to learn all about this unique insect. We'll talk about their characteristics and adaptations, why and when they migrate, their life cycle, and more. Participants will get an opportunity to learn how they can be involved in citizen science and conservation efforts for monarch butterflies. We'll end our session with a walk outside to identify monarch eggs and larvae, and we may tag some monarch butterflies too.
This is a free program, but space is limited, so register today!
Please note: this program takes place at Penguin Court in Western Pennsylvania.
