Winter Inspiration for Designing with Natives

Winter Inspiration for Designing with Natives

Continue your native gardening engagement through the colder months with a fresh perspective. While winter can be a time for rest for many, it is also a time to heighten our senses through the practice of careful observation.

Take a closer look at the natural world in miniature form to find artistic patterns and textures while capturing the moods of the season. Discover that winter is much more than dull browns and greys of color but rather a time for year-round inspiration! Join Renée Kemmerer, Brandywine’s Senior Horticulturist, as she takes you on a visual journey through the lens of an ecological gardener with a passion for nature.

This event is open to the public and may be recorded. It is a "pay what you wish" program with proceeds covering presenter fees and supporting Brandywine Conservancy’s education and outreach. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. Thank you for considering a donation.

Welcome to a gardening series offering a varied focus on native plants throughout the seasons for gardeners of all levels and learning styles. The 2025 “Perspectives in Design” theme aims to celebrate the diversity of native plant options through the lens of both design and functionality. Join us for blended virtual and in-person options to experience different views when selecting the most appropriate natives for your personalized growing spaces.

Due to technical difficulties beyond our control, you may not immediately receive a confirmation email after registering, but you will receive the Zoom login information in the reminder email that will be sent the morning of the program. If you wish to double check your registration, please email Julia Steiner at [email protected]. Approximately two weeks after the program, all registrants will receive a link to the recording to watch at their leisure.
