Wyeth White: Andrew Wyeth Paints Snow

Celebrate the coming of Winter as Victoria Browning Wyeth shares her uniquely personal perspective on her grandfather, artist Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009). This lively presentation will focus on how Andrew captured the snowfall in Chadds Ford over the years, at both his home and at the neighboring Kuerner Farm.

The Polar Express Read-Aloud Pajama Night

Children are invited to wear their pajamas as they delight in the tale of "The Polar Express" and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, from 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. The museum will open at 6:30 p.m. for families to visit the Brandywine Railroad and enjoy the holiday tree display.

Individuals on the autism spectrum or with a sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join us for after-hours access to the Museum’s Brandywine Railroad, a holiday favorite featuring trains running on 2,000 feet of track with more than 1,000 pieces.

Join founder and director of Dunya Performing Arts Company, Jeannine Osayande, for a creative and rhythmic evening inspired by the powerful works of “Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade.” Get ready to groove in this workshop and connect through synchronized moves, soulful music, haiku poetry, and fun social bonding to create your own Friendship Choreo-Poem. Participants will learn dance traditions like Sanko, Flex, Lights Camera Action, and Blow the Whistle, and further explore how rhythm can be used when working with communities.
