DIY: Toilet Paper Bunnies

Toilet Paper Bunnies

Cottontail rabbits are considered a sign of spring, commonly associated with Easter, and frequently seen in towns and suburbs. With spring’s arrival, recycle those toilet paper rolls and make your own festive bunnies for decoration, gift giving or as egg holders!

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Toilet paper tube(s)
  • Scissors
  • Paints 
  • Paint Brush
  • Pom poms
  • Glue 
  • Other decorations: markers, googly eyes, sequins, etc. to decorate (optional)

Step 1:

Flatten the toilet paper tube.


Step 2:

Cut a “J” or a backwards “J”—depending on your hand dominance—out of the roll, leaving about one inch from the bottom and one side.


Step 3:

Turn over the roll and cut a smaller “J” about 1½” from the top.


Step 4:

Round out the ears.

Decorate! (Eggs fit perfectly inside if you are using these as egg holders!)
