East Bradford Township is charting a cleaner, more resilient future. The Township's new Sustainability Plan, developed with the Brandywine Conservancy in 2026, lays out a strategic path to boost climate resilience, protect natural resources, and support responsible land stewardship. The plan builds on the Township’s ongoing commitments while highlighting practical ways to strengthen policies, infrastructure, and community engagement.
The plan is grounded in three key assessments conducted by the Brandywine Conservancy: a Community Climate Profile Assessment, a Sustainable Communities Assessment, and a Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Assessment. Together, these analyses provide East Bradford Township with a comprehensive and actionable framework to guide sustainability regulations and planning, bolster climate resilience, and expand the use of green infrastructure.
This Sustainability Plan is a roadmap to a sustainable community for the needs of the existing generation while not compromising the needs of future generations.
