Addition of Kennett Square Borough to the Brandywine Creek Greenway

The Brandywine Conservancy has received generous funding from the William Penn Foundation to welcome Kennett Square Borough into the Brandywine Creek Greenway, joining 29 other municipal partners. This ten-month initiative is expected to be completed by October 2025. The Conservancy is partnering with Kennett Square Borough, and several stakeholder organizations and agencies are participating in this initiative including: Square Roots, Kennett Collaborative, Kennett Trails Alliance, Kennett Library, the Kennett Area Parks Authority and others.

Public Workshops

Please come join Conservancy staff and Greenway partners at Kennett Square’s Third Thursdays on State Street. This project will be highlighted on the event evenings of Thursday, May 15, 2025 and September 18, 2025 and we are looking for community input.
