Walking In Andrew’s Footsteps

Kuerner Farm is a rustic yet visually stunning white farmhouse and working Pennsylvania bank-style barn. This past week myself and fellow blogger and Education intern, Emily, were able to experience the beautiful Kuerner Farm. We were able to get an “all-access” tour of the barn itself, by the youngest Kuerner family member, which was an absolutely splendid opportunity.

Visiting Kuerner Farm

One of the cool things about the Brandywine River Museum is that many of the pieces were created right down the road from it. For example, the Kuerner Farm that Andrew Wyeth recreated in many of his painting is just a short drive from the museum and opened to the public for tours. Being able toexperience the farm in person really gave me a new perspective on Andrew’s work.
